eheh, time sure flies I... got busy.

Since I last updated, my life plans got turned upside down and rewritten. Good stuff, absolutely crazy good stuff.   My Librarian career got put on hold, I got married to a hubby I need to figure out how to feed, moved a few times, traveled to Scotland, and I'm figuring out the future now that I have a team player with me. Drawing and activity on this webpage took a spot on the back burner. I didn't know if I would ever pick up art again and I can't guarantee I will be active again here. Maybe now is the time for me to move on??

But things settled the past month, finally, now that I'm on summer break from my job. I actually started to feel bored, a long lost sensation. I dusted off an art trade my sister and I started last year. We invited my brother in to make it 3-way trade and then some ideas/inspiration for art is coming back to me. I still want to draw so I may stop by here every now and then but I imagine my activity will be less and less frequent as time goes on. We'll see where life takes me. Last year to this date I wasn't expecting myself to be where I am, ever. I have learned over and over to roll with whatever comes my way despite what I planned.    This entry is just to say I'm not dead and life is going well.


P.S. Thank you all for wishing me a Happy New Year, a Happy Birthday, mentions, tags, etc. over the past several months. My inbox is still filled after an hour of clicking through it.

I just realized I haven't written in over 6 months. Well New Zealand was just lovely. 2-weeks was the bare minimum required for me to experience the place. I stuck around only in the South Island as that contains more of the glorious parts and secret spots. Being there was like walking around inside a terrarium; I loved it! It was funny how I kept having flashbacks from the UK as many things are similar such as road signs, home set ups, vocabulary, sheep, etc. But then there are several things that are unique to NZ such as the Maori people, the unspoiled land, their own quirky sayings, and such. Something I have noticed is in the USA when there is a lot of something I usually hear and say "tons", in the UK I tend to hear "loads" and in New Zealand they say, "heaps". Funny, huh? I like seeing how the same language has variations all over the world like this.

Now something new um..... Remember last year when I wrote about food that I always eat and keep in my kitchen? Back then I said something about how I could never give up dairy? Yeah, guess what happened two months after that? I tried out an experiment in eating a vegan diet and now, over a year later I find I don't want to stop that experiment. I must have jinxed myself when I said that, hahaha. But seriously it's because changing my diet has made me feel so much better and happier.

Oh, and I'm going back to school next month because this here nerd wants to go even deeper into books and become a librarian. I finally accepted the fact that I like books more than people. I want to earn a living by being an introvert... and afford a dog.

Today I was forced to confront what I have been keeping in the dark for so long. I have been an American my entire life but guys.... I can't even order a stinkin burger from McDonalds correctly!   As part of my job I had to help someone go eat out for community access but even I can't get that garbage right. I messed up their order like a doofus and I was too embarrassed to go back and fix it. At least my client/student didn't care and were happy for the opportunity to just go out and eat. I tried to think back to the last time I went to McDonalds; probably for nuggets but I can't really remember.

I've never ordered a burger before.   What kind of American am I?




p.s. I'm alright. I just wanted to update my journal and this was the most interesting thing that came to mind. I could care less about McNasty, because I have standards!

Thirteen things about me.

    1.      About six month ago I started the transition to veganism (I’m still learning new things along the way)
    2.      My first time seeing the ocean was in England
    3.      I thought I could grow out of video games
    4.      I still believe in 398.2
    5.      As a small child I would wander a few blocks to a neighbor’s yard that was full of these animal lawn ornaments and play with them. I felt like I was Snow White. I never met whoever lived in that area.
    6.      I never thought I would say this but I actually want to have a dog
    7.      I’m too lazy to wear full face makeup  
    8.      I recently discovered you can make ice-cream from frozen bananas  
    9.      My favorite Disney Princess growing up was Jasmine because of her hair
    10.    I play the piano
    11.    My patronus on Pottermore is a Salmon…… wut????  
    12.    I prefer walking barefoot outside as much as I can
    13.    I’ve never broken a bone before

----Now for the questions MrMadManiac asked me -----

1. If you had some kind of magic, or superpower, but it was restricted to your hair, or coming from it, what could your hair do? If you don't have hair, imagine that you do. Or, it could be any hair on you.

            This is an odd question but already my imagination is off running with it.... or I should say blowing away with it   I would like for my hair would reflect my emotions as subtle and intense I feel them. For example: when I’m happy it would have more volume and even levitate a bit when I’m excited. When I’m sad or stressed it would go lanky and droop. If I’m angry or irritated my hair would recoil slowly into tight curls and perhaps have high voltage of static energy (I have shocked myself with my own hair many times before).

2. If you didn't have to worry about maintenance, or much practicality, or even many laws of physics, what would be your dream home, from an architectural standpoint? What would the style, or materials be?

            I adore nature so my dream home would be infused with that. I also really like windows, especially big ones. So I would want large panes of glass that open up to a lovely view of mountains or a forest. I also like patios that you could go on to soak up the sun, rain, moonlight or whatever. A library is a must with a comfy reading corner that you could just end up falling asleep in. Once I heard about a house that has a live tree literally growing in the center of an open foyer. That would be so cool but I don’t know how that would work. When I get a shower with glass doors I want to put inside it potted plants and ivies to create a forest theme. I would also like to have a garden for growing herbs, wildflowers and have flowing water be an element (whether that is a fountain, a small stream or a pool).

3. For the Fallout S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats (Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, and Luck), which would you have significantly boosted, and which would you have severely limited (not given up altogether). These don't necessarily have to be at the same time.

            Agility caught my attention first. I want to be better at thinking quickly and more on my feet. I hate it when the perfect comeback doesn’t come until days/weeks later.   Luck I would say is the least I care about so that can be limited. I believe more in what I can control with my attitude and deeds rather than chance.

4. If you have OC's or even Fan Characters, what are the oldest ones you still use? That you've had for the longest time.

            Still use…… mmmmmmmmm…… I have rarely been using my OC’s lately. Although, I had a bit of a flashback a couple days ago when I met someone that fits the description for one of my OC’s I created over 10 years ago. I think about this character from time to time; Namaleh Anurian which is “Helaman Crowned with the Sun’s Rays”.

5. What are some of your movie/TV/video game/music/food/book guilty pleasures?

            Video Games: Undertrash and Zelda
            Movie/TV: Hetalia and Gravity Falls
            Books: Howl’s Moving Castle, Redwall, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Pride and Prejudice

6. What is your LEAST favorite season?

            Summer. The heat drains me and that has never been fun.  

7. If you could seamlessly transform into anybody of the opposite sex, and back, who would they be? Or what would their features be? And they can be fictional characters, too. (You are free to refuse to answer this one.)

            Mettaton Ex   because he is so drop-dead GORGEOUS!!!! And I would have buckets of fun with those noodle arms.

7b. Favorite form/model of aircraft, car, boat, or ship? Fictional, and/or IRL.
            I actually don’t have much of an interest in this field which is funny because I did all those comics about weapons and such in WW2.

8. What character, or person, would you least and most mind being cuffed to for an entire day? And you can choose how you're bound together, and where you are.

            At first I wanted to say that I wouldn’t mind being cuffed with Papyrus but then I thought I don’t think I could possibly keep up with his boundless energy :bademoticon:  I just end up being dragged around like a corpse. So I would say Sans because he’s low key and so easy going (I’m totally cool with naps). Plus where Sans is Papyrus is close by.

            Who would I mind the most being cuffed to? A certain politician whose name I won’t say because that is like lighting a match near an open gas pipe.   ……………..yeah nope

9. What's your favorite kind of dessert, sweet, or snack?

            Hummus.   The possibilities in flavors and foods you can dip in it are endless.

10. If you were the villain in a horror story, what would be your weapon, appearance, MO, and what would you do with your victims?
(Jeez this is getting dark)

            My weapon would be the power of words to manipulate people’s emotions that drives them to act irrationally due to anger or fear. Then they would feel the torment in letting out the monster that was within them the whole time. My appearance would be as everything they ever dreamed of. Then they can’t resist listening to me.

10. What character do you love from an aesthetic physical standpoint, but can't stand their actual character/personality. And vice versa, of course.

            That’s very hard for me to answer. Usually personalities outride whatever physical features a person has no matter how good or bad they appeared. So any celebrity is a good example here; they look pleasing but their personalities I can’t stand. On the flip side: Quasimodo from the Disney’s film. But his character shines through his appearance.  

11. If you could hear only one song, played on repeat for an entire workday (or the whole day), what would it be?

12. What youtube shows are you most into?
            GoodMythicalMorning –   Their entertainment is way better than the trash TV shows

            CutiePieMarzia – Everything she is and does are goals for me

            PeanutButterGamer –   I love his humor and brother-like connection I feel with him

            VanillaHamHam –   SO MUCH CUTENESS!!! X3

            VenusAngelic – She’s been fascinating me for the past 5 years

            MommyTang – Everyone needs to have this woman as their mom figure

            Autumn Asphodel – This person has opened my mind and eyes in so many ways

            Architecture from the gothic era

            The determination people had to stand for truth from WW2

            Music from the Romantic era

            Knowledge from Ancient Greece and Rome

            Fashion from the Victorian era (even stretch it to steampunk)
